Robert Smith has overall responsibility for Penn River Capital. He leads all active advisory engagements. Bob was a founding partner with SSG Capital Advisors, LLC, a boutique special situations investment banking firm. Bob has played a leading role in more than 100 transactions including mergers and acquisitions, management buyouts, recapitalizations and capital raises for middle market and large cap companies across a wide range of industries including food, branded consumer products, financial services, biotech/pharmaceutical and heavy manufacturing. Bob is a graduate of Lehigh University and a member of numerous financial trade organizations.

Kevin Smith
Senior Analyst

Kevin Smith is a senior analyst at Penn River Capital, providing analysis, research, due diligence, and more. He has four years of client-facing experience in the financial industry as an analyst at SEI Investments. In addition, he has been an integral part of several small-cap transactions with Penn River He has been an active part of deal teams across multiple industries, including food processing and distribution, media publishing, and education. Kevin has also earned a software engineering degree from Modern University, focusing on full stack development using JavaScript. He has a strong basis in the fundamentals of computer science, data structures & algorithms, and technology generally. Kevin is a graduate of Lafayette College with an economics degree.
